For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Eph 2:8-10

God once told a pastor friend and myself in a time of prayer: "I don't need a man to walk in My works to build THEM. I need the works to build the man' (My workmanship).

God's Fingers on Our Lives

My experience in Ministry has proved this to be a very true statement. Each one of our lives is exquistely unique, yet that uniqueness can never take divine shape until 'the fingers of God' have touched it.

God is not involving us with works so that 'we might accomplish them.' Instead, He involves us with particular works and particular people in particular places and times that are His divine fingers, touching us; embracing us; molding the spinning days of our faith, hope, and love - Changing us into the image of Jesus.

Vertical Life Ministries is relationally involved with each of the following projects. We call them, 'The Fingers of God' because our heart is to see these works 'change people.' This is the goal. And the real reason they even exist.

Each of these projects is diverse in nature, size, and purpose. Yet all of them have the following in common: They were conceived by God; birthed in prayer; exist in hope; and advance by the personal faith of the people allowing God to use them to change their lives.

You too are God's workmanship. Why not ask Him today if one of these projects is something He wants to use to change 'your life.' They have certainly changed mine.
