"He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered [them] from their destructions. Oh that [men] would praise the LORD [for] his goodness, and [for] his wonderful works to the children of men!"
Psalms 107:20-21
"And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus put forth [his] hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed."
Matthew 8:2-3
"Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever."
Hebrews 13:8
On the night of February the 4th, a 31 year old widow named Olga Sosa Taboada visited a small church service at a missions school in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. In reality, she had no idea of the wonderful work God was about to manifest in her life. You see, Olga was dying of aids. And all she could think about was what would happen to her children.
Olga listened to the story of Naaman the Syrian that night and hit on a key revelation. God's Word is 'instructive' she heard. The secret to life is in identifying the instructive part of the Word of God directed at your personal life.
Choosing to respond to the instruction she heard from God that night, Olga came forward to recieve Jesus as her Savior and Lord. And in that simple act of faith, she recieved more than she expected. Olga was saved and healed that night by the grace of God.
Though eight months pregnant, Olga immediately insisted on being water baptised. (See below) She wanted to dedicate her [yet] unborn son to God. Since that time, she has given her testimony to over three hundred people in two seperate churches and numerous other individuals. And as unbelievable as it is 'to a woman without a job who lives in a shack'; her story has reached England, Africa, Israel, India, Pakistan and Australia as well as criss-crossed the USA, blessing more people than we can count... All in less than a month.
Olga gave birth to her new son, 'Miguel Joshua Taboada' night before last. She has had a very 'full' month. God's suddenly came to her in the form of a wonderful work because God is a wonderful God and a God of His Word, when we follow his instructions in cooperation with His Word. Could a testimony like this be what Jesus meant when He said that He came to 'bring us life, and that MORE abundantly.' (?)
Please think about that relative to your own life. Read Olga's testimony. Look at the medical documents and consider the love of God. More importantly; consider God's Word, for it is His Word that brings faith. God does not discriminate between persons. What He has done for Olga, He longs to do for you and many others. So seek out God's 'instructive' Word to your life. And then, "whatsoever He says unto you, do it." (John 2:5)
